Overview

Destiny-Ghost operates an SMS and MMS notification service for Destiny players. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

Information Collected

• Bungie account data — display name and membership ID, obtained via Bungie OAuth at sign-in.
• Mobile phone number and email address — collected at registration when you voluntarily opt in to SMS notifications.
• Messaging consent — the date, time, and method by which you opted in to receive messages.
• Message history — inbound texts you send and outbound notifications delivered to you.

How Your Information Is Used

• To deliver weapon search results and game notifications via SMS/MMS.
• To authenticate your Bungie account and personalize notifications to your characters.
• To honor opt-out requests and maintain suppression records.

SMS Consent & Third-Party Sharing

Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in consent are used solely to deliver Destiny-Ghost notifications and respond to your inquiries. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, sold to, or bought by any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal data exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you opt out of SMS messaging, your phone number is moved to a suppression list and no further messages will be sent. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

Twilio transmits SMS and MMS messages and Bungie's public API retrieves game data. These services operate under their own privacy policies. Your personal data is never shared with or sold to any other third parties.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights or to opt out of SMS messaging, contact us at banshee-44@destiny-ghost.com.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
